El Aérospatiale-BAC Concorde es un avión supersónico utilizado para el transporte de pasajeros. Fue construido a partir de los trabajos conjuntos de los fabricantes British Aircraft Corporation (británico) y Aérospatiale (francés). En 1969 realizó su primer vuelo, entró en servicio en 1976 y voló durante 27 años, hasta su salida de circulación en 2003. Sus principales destinos fueron los aeropuertos de Londres Heathrow, París-Charles de Gaulle, John F. Kennedy y Washington-Dulles, los dos últimos pertenecientes a Estados Unidos. Podía llegar a los destinos en la mitad del tiempo de lo que tardaba un avión comercial convencional debido a su velocidad supersónica. El avión es considerado como un icono de la aviación y una maravilla de la ingeniería. Se construyeron un total de 20 aviones en Francia y Reino Unido, seis de ellos eran prototipos y aviones de prueba. Siete fueron entregados a Air France y otros siete a British Airways.Su nombre «Concorde», proviene de la unión y colaboración de Francia y el Reino Unido en el desarrollo y fabricación del aparato. Su desarrollo y fabricación fueron una gran inversión económica para las empresas BAC y Aérospatiale. Además, los gobiernos francés y británico habían dado generosas subvenciones a British Airways y Air France para el desarrollo y adquisición del aparato. El grave accidente de uno de los Concorde el 25 de julio de 2000, el único en 27 años de servicio, y otros factores como la escasa rentabilidad, precipitaron su retiro definitivo. Su último vuelo fue el 26 de noviembre de 2003. Fue el primer avión a reacción supersónico en ser usado de manera comercial, puesto en servicio el 21 de enero de 1976, anticipándose al también supersónico Tupolev Tu-144, la versión soviética del Concorde, que entró en servicio de pasajeros el 1 de noviembre de 1977.

Aérospatiale/BAC Concorde (/ˈkɒŋkɔːrd/) is a British-French turbojet-powered supersonic passenger jet airliner that was operated until 2003. It had a maximum speed over twice the speed of sound at Mach 2.04 (1,354 mph or 2,180 km/h at cruise altitude), with seating for 92 to 128 passengers. First flown in 1969, Concorde entered service in 1976 and continued flying for the next 27 years. It is one of only two supersonic transports to have been operated commercially; the other is the Soviet-built Tupolev Tu-144, which was operated for a much shorter period. Concorde was jointly developed and manufactured by Aérospatiale and the British Aircraft Corporation (BAC) under an Anglo-French treaty. Twenty aircraft were built, including six prototypes and development aircraft. Air France (AF) and British Airways (BA) were the only airlines to purchase and fly Concorde. The aircraft was primarily used by wealthy passengers who could afford to pay a high price in exchange for Concorde's speed and luxury service. Among other , Concorde flew regular transatlantic flights from London's Heathrow Airport and Paris's Charles de Gaulle Airport to John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York, Washington Dulles International Airport and Grantley Adams International Airport in Barbados; it flew these routes in less than half the time of other airliners. Concorde's name, meaning "harmony" or "union", was chosen to reflect the co-operation on the project between the United Kingdom and France. In the UK, any or all of the type are known simply as Concorde, with no definite article the. Concorde won the 2006 Great British Design Quest organised by the BBC and the Design Museum, beating other well-known designs such as the BMC Mini, the miniskirt, the Jaguar E-type, the London Tube map and the Supermarine Spitfire. The type was retired in 2003 after the crash of Air France Flight 4590, in which all passengers and crew were killed. The general downturn in the commercial aviation industry after the September 11 attacks in 2001, and the ceasing of maintenance support for Concorde by Aérospatiale and BAC's successor Airbus, also contributed.
