Cundī (Wylie: skul byed ma, Chinese: 準提菩薩) is a minor female deity in Vajrayana Buddhism. Her origins, state Buswell and Lopez, "probably connotes a prostitute or other woman of low caste but specifically denotes a prominent local ogress (Yakshini)". Her cult spread with the Pala Empire, eventually becoming important in Tibetan Buddhism and Tangmi. Cundī appears with eighteen arms on a lotus and is referred to as "Goddess of the Seventy Million [Buddhas]".
