Legoland (trademark in uppercase as LEGOLAND) is a chain of Lego-themed children's/family theme parks. They are not fully owned by Lego Group itself; rather they are owned and operated by the British theme park company Merlin Entertainments. The chain currently consists of: \n* Legoland Billund Resort (Billund, Denmark; opened in 1968) \n* Legoland Windsor Resort (Windsor, United Kingdom; opened in 1996) \n* Legoland California (Carlsbad, San Diego County, California, United States; opened in 1999) \n* Legoland Deutschland Resort (Günzburg, Germany; opened in 2002) \n* Legoland Florida Resort (Winter Haven, Florida, United States; opened in 2011) \n* Legoland Malaysia Resort (Iskandar Puteri, Johor, Malaysia; opened in 2012) \n* Legoland Dubai Resort (Jebel Ali, Dubai, UAE; opening October 31, 2016) \n* Legoland Japan (Nagoya, opening April 1, 2017) \n* Legoland Korea (Opening 2017) \n* Legoland India (TBA) \n* Legoland Shanghai (TBA) \n* Legoland in Orange County, New York (Planned for construction to begin in 2017 and opening two years later.)
